Update on CTC’s COVID-19 Food Relief Effort in the Amparai, Batticaloa and Kilinochchi Districts of Sri Lanka.

On Tuesday April 14th, a total 49 families from the village of Tsunami Housing Scheme within thein the Karaitivu 8 GN Division under the Karaitivu DS Division of Amparai district received food relief from Tamil Canadians.

A total of 200 most vulnerable families in the Amparai district have received CTCs’ COVID-19 food relief through the North and East Economic Development Centre up to now.

On Wednesday April 15th, a total 82 families from the Karadiyanaru GN Divisions in the Chenkaladi DS Division of Batticaloa District received the food relief from Tamil Canadians.

A total of 216 most vulnerable families in the Batticaloa district have received CTCs’ COVID-19 food relief through the North and East Economic Development Centre up to now. Another 34 families in the Batticaloa district will receive food relief packages soon.

On Thursday April 16th, a total 172 families from the Uruthirapuram D8, Konavil East, Selvanagar, Krishnapuram, Kanakampikaikulam and Pannankandi GN Divisions in the Karachchi DS Divisions along with Korakkanaddu/ Paranthan GN Division in the Kandawalai DS Division, all in Kilinochchi District received the food relief from Tamil Canadians.

A total of 250 most vulnerable families in the Kilinochchi district have received CTCs’ COVID-19 food relief through the Kilinochchi District Education Trust and the Rotary Club – Kilinochchi Town up to now.
