Canadian Tamil Congress Seeks Official Clarification Regarding the Passing of Regipold Robert Kennedy
MISSISSAUGA, ON – April 27, 2026 – The Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) today announced that it has formally requested an official account of the events surrounding the tragic passing of Regipold Robert Kennedy, a 30-year-old Brampton resident.

Mr. Kennedy passed away following a medical emergency on April 13, 2026. His sudden loss has caused profound distress among his friends, family, and the broader community.

Given the reports regarding the response of emergency services to this incident, there is a significant need for transparency. In our capacity as advocates for our community, the CTC has written to the leadership of the Peel Regional Police, Peel Regional Paramedic Services, and Brampton Transit to request an official sequence of events.

“Our priority is to ensure that our community can rely on official, factual information during this difficult time,” said Kumar Ratnam, President of the Canadian Tamil Congress. “We believe that obtaining an accurate account of what occurred is an essential step in honoring the memory of Mr. Kennedy and addressing the concerns raised by his loved ones.”

The CTC will provide updates to the community as we receive responses from the relevant authorities.
