The Canadian Tamil Congress Proudly Announces Inaugural Canada Multicultural Day Celebrations at Albert Campbell Square in Toronto

TORONTO, ON – June 19, 2026 – The Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Canada Multicultural Day celebrations. This landmark community event will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Albert Campbell Square in Scarborough. Building on a long legacy as a trailblazer for cultural programming in the Greater Toronto Area, CTC is expanding its horizon to honor, celebrate, and unify the diverse cultures, people, arts, and vibrant traditions that define Canada.

As a pioneer in establishing major events that showcase the rich traditions of Tamil culture, history, arts, and cuisine, CTC has long served as a vanguard for community engagement. This year, the organization is channeling that trusted experience into a broader celebration of Canada’s collective diversity. The inaugural Canada Multicultural Day will bring together many heritage groups for a dynamic evening filled with live multicultural performances, local artisan vendors, diverse culinary experiences, and interactive displays of unity.

With the launch of Canada Multicultural Day, we are thrilled to use our platform to celebrate not only our own roots but the beautiful mosaic of all communities that call Canada home. We invite everyone to join us for an unforgettable evening of beauty, diversity, and togetherness. The festivities will kick off in the evening at Albert Campbell Square, transforming the public space into a bustling hub of cross-cultural appreciation. Families, neighbors, and visitors from across the GTA are invited to experience the rich tapestry of global traditions in one central location.
