Canadian Tamil Congress Supports Young Cricket Prodigy Rishiyuthan

The Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) proudly announces its support for the remarkable talent of 10-year-old Rishiyuthan, a budding cricketer from Colombo Hindu College. In a recent school-level cricket match, Rishiyuthan displayed exceptional skills by bowling 9.4 overs, taking an astounding 8 wickets without conceding a single run.

Impressed by his outstanding performance, the CTC, represented by former President Raj Thavaratnasingham, visited Rishiyuthan’s residence on December 12, 2023. During the visit, Thavaratnasingham extended heartfelt congratulations to Rishiyuthan and presented a small financial assistance package to support his passion for cricket.

Responding to the family’s request, the CTC took a significant step by fully covering the lease of a three-wheeler, essential for the family’s livelihood. The lease, paid for a duration of two years, aims to alleviate financial burdens and contribute to a supportive environment for Rishiyuthan’s pursuit of his cricket dreams.

During the visit, Thavaratnasingham assured Rishiyuthan’s parents that the Canadian Tamil Congress is committed to supporting Rishiyuthan’s journey towards playing for the Sri Lankan national team. Thavaratnasingham conveyed the organization’s pledge to stand by Rishiyuthan as he aspires to achieve his dream at the age of 19.

இளம் கிரிக்கட் வீரர் ரிஷியுதனுக்கு கனடிய தமிழ் காங்கிரஸ் ஆதரவு

கொழும்பு இந்துக் கல்லூரியின் வளர்ந்து வரும் கிரிக்கெட் வீரரான 10 வயது ரிஷியுதனின் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க திறமைக்கு கனேடிய தமிழ் காங்கிரஸ் (CTC) தனது ஆதரவை அறிவித்துள்ளது. சமீபத்தில் நடந்த பள்ளி அளவிலான கிரிக்கெட் போட்டியில் ரிஷியுதன் 9.4 ஓவர்கள் வீசி ஒரு ரன் கூட கொடுக்காமல் 8 விக்கெட்டுகளை வீழ்த்தினார்.

இந்தச் சாதனையைப் பாராட்டும் வகையில், கனேடியத் தமிழ்க் காங்கிரஸின் முன்னாள் தலைவரும் தற்போதைய ஆலோசகருமான ராஜ் தவரட்ணசிங்கம், 2023 டிசம்பர் 12 அன்று ரிஷியுதனின் வீட்டிற்கு நேரில் சென்று அவரை வாழ்த்தியதுடன், அவரது கிரிக்கெட் ஆர்வத்திற்கு கனேடியத் தமிழ் காங்கிரஸ் உதவுவதாகவும் தெரிவித்தார்.

ரிஷியுதனின் குடும்பத்தின் வேண்டுகோளுக்கு இணங்க, கனேடிய தமிழ் காங்கிரஸ் குடும்பத்தின் வாழ்வாதாரத்திற்கு அத்தியாவசியமான முச்சக்கரவண்டியின் குத்தகையை முழுமையாக செலுத்தியது, இது அவர்களின் பொருளாதாரச் சுமையைக் குறைக்கும் மற்றும் அவரது கிரிக்கெட் கனவுகளை நனவாக்குவதற்கு ஆதரவான சூழலை உருவாக்கியது.

19 வயதில் இலங்கை தேசிய அணியில் விளையாட வேண்டும் என்ற ரிஷியுதனின் கனவுக்கு கனேடிய தமிழ் காங்கிரஸ் ஆதரவளிக்கும் என ராஜ் தவரட்ணசிங்கம் ரிஷியுதனின் பெற்றோரிடம் உறுதியளித்தார்.
